
06 Jun 2012 - United States: Disney to restrict food and beverage advertising in children’s programming
Walt Disney Co. announced in a press release on 5 May that it will become the first major media company to restrict advertising of certain food and beverages on the company’s child-focused TV channels (Disney Channel, Disney XD, Disney Junior), during Saturday-morning cartoons on ABC stations owned by Disney, on its radio station (Radio Disney) and on Disney-owned websites.
